Its official we have tested the new Omatic boards, and the results are in.
I gathered a couple of my friends during Mammoth’s demo days and we set out to find what Omatic had to offer for next season. During our quest for knowledge we put these boards through the toughest experiments, we compared boards and found the ones that were best ones to ride on different terrain. Vanessa Oelke tested out the girls boards, after all she is a girl.
Super: It held a good edge, I could go fast and never feel like it would slip or gave way. it was a stiffer board so it was good through choppy snow, but would also be a good all around board.
Likes - I loved this board because I rode it in chop and it charged through but felt good to ride in the groomers and park.
Dislikes - I really didn’t have any dislikes, it was fun.

Benetar: This board held a good edge i also was very responsive when i carved. it had more flex then the super because this board was softer.
Likes - it was a really fun board, it would be a great park board
Dislikes - I didn’t really have dislikes but it wouldn’t be a board i would on choppy snow.
I’ve been riding Omatic boards for a couple of years now and have always been stoked on the boards from the way they ride to the wicked awesome graphics they have. I always look forward to demo days because I’ m always excited to see what they have created, this season I tested 4 boards and found a couple that I can say I loved.

Extreco: The first board I was eager to test was the extreco, this board was a winner, it rode great through all snow conditions. It’s really responsive and has good pop I was able to ride through choppy snow and felt like I had control the whole time, it also felt smooth on jumps and would be a great board to have if you ride everything from park to powder and what makes this board extra-special this year is that they have give you two options of riding it, you can also get it with B.S. technology “A no B.S. name for a great ride” which is exactly correct. This board is amazing, it has a 3D bowed surface and has great feel to it, I would recommend getting one of these for a great experience riding.

Boron: This board is a simple well rounded board and it is also really light. It was fun to ride in different conditions its carve response was great, its flexibility was good and was great to ride the park with. The boron was the first board Ii rode a couple years back when I was first introduced to Omatic, and I always seem drawn to it because it’s just simply great board to ride.
Celebrity by LV- when I first started riding this board it felt like it was something I should be riding all the time, I normally ride a 151 but I tried this board out in a 155 and started taking speed laps and mobbing through anything I could find. this board was great in the park. Louie Vito designed this board with all the right stuff to make it great for riding the park, free riding and carving.

Garrett Sierra tested a couple boards.
Sweet by HM: Funnest board I’ve ridden in a long time. Super flexible. It is a descent sized board so it rode great in powder and on jumps. But the flexibility made it super fun on boxes and rails too. The bigger size did not get in the way of jibbing. Definitely a great all around board and you can’t argue with the graphic either. The flex in this board makes it super fun for any feature, but it might also make landing tough on bigger jumps in the park.
Awesome by TR: This is a relatively stiff board. Rides good on jumps. Has the control needed for anything. Would be a good powder board if it was a bit longer and not what you’d want for jibbing. All in all this board would be great for jumping of any size. This board stiffness makes it great for hitting jumps, but also takes away from having fun on every feature in the park.
