You might think that snowboarding in August might suck really bad. Up here at Timberline it’s still really good. Today there was a little session in the High Cascade Pipe going down with some of the coaches and diggers. Here is a little peep show of some boned out tweaks from today.

End Of July At Hood

As July comes to an end it has also brought the hottest weather of the summer. Of course the snow is melting pretty fast but don’t get the notion that it’s still not amazing up here. There is plenty of snow up on the Palmer Snow Field and both High Cascade and Windells have been maintaining and making new features every session still. This session at High Cascade has also brought some of the best photographers in the biz to give campers all the pointers to see what it takes to take photos like some of snowboarding’s best.

Daily Mt. Hood Update July 7

By: Joe Carter

For the third session at High Cascade you could say they have made some big changes. For one, the superpipe that was 18 feet has now grown to 22 for the US and Canadian halfpipe teams to come get nasty in. The ropetow has also been made much longer to access much more. Plus, the diggers and cat drivers have also made lots of changes with the rest of the entire park. Keep looking each day this week for lots more action.
