About Absinthe Films
In 1999 there was an opportunity to establish the first all European snowboard film to register on an international scale. A chance meeting at a San Diego screening, brought together Patrick ‘Brusti’ Armbruster (Onboard Magazine senior photographer) and Justin Hostynek (established film-maker and Snowboarder Magazine senior photographer). The following winter they collaborated on a ‘European rider’ based film, titled ‘Tribal’. Expanding the scope of their projects to include the best riders from both Europe and North America they would go on together to establish Absinthe Films as a leading film production company in the industry and gain unique credibility in the snowboarding scene world-wide. The focus of Absinthe films has always been to present the highest level of progressive snowboarding to it’s audience in a fresh, inclusive and engaging way. Focused on establishing new standards rather than keeping up with pack. Once again these goals have helped to forge an unforgettable snowboard film with this year’s Absinthe Films release ‘Optimistic?’
Absinthe Films and Standard Films are offering their videos for download on I tunes. We are big fans of both of their work and wrote customer reviews on the itunes store.
