Its green here in Seattle Washington
Back in Mammoth and it feels great. The riding is exceptional. We hiked Hemlocks 3 times yesterday and found some fresh snow. The park has been really good too. We were shredding with Lonnie Kauk in the park, Pete Scheira back at Hemlocks, Matt Hutmacher, Andrew Miller, Jamieson Stewart, Kurt Narmore, Ali Henn throughout the whole day. Our T Shirts are for sale at Wave Rave Snowboard Shop, so check them out when you swing by the shop. Everyone is stoked on them and you will be able to find exclusive releases on the back of the Wave Rave Crew. I am seeing a ton of cloud stickers and we have been hooking up all the shred doggs. I even hooked up my Japanese homie. We couldn’t quite understand each other but I managed to tell him the website translated in Japanese. He was stoked and I hope he tells his Japanese brothas about the whole situation. We have a bunch of stuff we will be doing the next couple of days. Andrew and I are going to bring the video cameras up to the mountain and hook up with all the home boys. Definitely looking forward to making some movies with the riders here. Stay posted on our experiences, quick bits of the lifestyle and some serious SHRED ACTION.

Road Trip: Mount Rushmore, Milwaukee, and ChicagoPosted by: Snowboard Revolution in Snowboard StoryMount Rushmore is really cool, you know the thought of someone carving those faces out of stone is really awesome. I have to say after seeing the Tetons though it wasn’t all that. The Tetons were though. Here is our tag at Mount Rushmore.
The Midwest is really flat, and the roads are straight. The speed limit is 75 and that means you can go 84 without getting pulled over.
Milwaukee Wisconsin is a very cool city. You can take a car ferry from Milwaukee across lake Michigan to the state of Michigan, it was gone when I got there so I drove to Chicago.
Chi Town, Chicago is a bad ass city. The city can be overwhelming coming from Mammoth though so try to slow down and catch your composure. Check this spot out.

Yellowstone, East Wyoming, and South DakotaPosted by: Snowboard Revolution in Snowboard Story
I slept in Jackson at a campground, woke up and decided the best way to travel would be back up through Yellowstone. I went through the South entrance and exited through the East exit. On my way I saw a grizzly bear, I stopped and watched him for a while. Here is the Yellowstone Grizzly.
Exiting the park to the East was the best for me, I was going to New York so that was the way to go. Yellowstone park had so much to offer and I saw some insane views on my way out the park. Here are some crazy trees that were all burnt down, but still standing and there were so many of them.
After I left the park the scenary changed so much, canyons, large mountains, rolling hills and so much more. Here is a side a roadside cliff you will drive along if and when you take this drive.
Here is a South Dakota sunset, I am on my way to Mount Rushmore, but I may not hit it tonight. I am not sure how far away I am and the sunlight is running itself into the ground. Does Mount Rushmore have any lights? Find out tommorrow.
This is a silouette of Jackson Hole Wyoming. I have never seen this resort before, it looks insane. Straight up and down, top to bottom. Seriously I can’t wait to come back when the snow falls.
Clouds at Jackson Hole Woyming. Yeah we will be there for many winters to come. Hiked around the resort, it is so bad ass.
Here is the Million Dollar Cowboy bar in Jackson. There are really people dressed as cowboys that hit this place up. Cowboys and Cowgirls.
The Tram, The Jackson Hole tram has been around since 1966 and theh retired it this year. That is thirty years of amazing powder on one of the baddest looking mountain resorts ever.
Grand Teton. The view of the Teton Mountain range is one of the most mindblowing views you will ever see.
Next stop South Dakota and Mount Rushmore

Yellowstone and introduce TETON MOUNTAINSPosted by: Snowboard Revolution in Snowboard StoryMy drive started in Idaho, going North on the west side of the Teton Mountain range, socked in, no clear view but I know they are just to my right. I drove to Montana into the West entrance to Yellowstone National park, whooo. You have to go. This place is deffinately something to see. As soon as I entered the park I saw a crew of Buffalo. I stopped at Old Faithful, but there were alot of tourists there and it wasn’t really my style, I knew there was more to be seen. I stopped at some sick geysers that were going off. I didnt stay for to long though because the sky was clearly breaking and I knew I was in range of theTETONS.
Just to the South of Yellowstone park lies Grand Teton National Park (they basically border each other), but don’t rush out to fast, there is still more to see. Stop a few more times at some sick spots like this waterfall, but get to the Tetons before dark. Off to Jackson Hole, no mountains in sight, still a little socked in. Enter Grand Teton National Park.
Boo Ya. The Grand Teton Mountain range. WHAT? I am from Western New York, moved to Mammoth and that calls for a lock jaw(to the floor) when you first see the Tetons. These Mountains at first site, second sight, third sight and everyone after that will change the way you view this earth. Tommorrow I will drive directly into the Tetons and drop down into Jackson Hole but here is a little taste of what you can expect. Just wait.

Road Trip-There is still snow in Northen NevadaPosted by: Snowboard Revolution in On Location, Snowboard Story
Road Trip-There is still snow in Northern Nevada. ROAD TRIP, Ruby Mountain Nevada (11,387) That is what I am on and ready to travel to New York from California, Mammoth to be exact. But now I am out and on the road, where I will end up, no clue. I figure with the price of gas today I will have to use my ride as both my transport unit and porta-hotel to justify this.
This is my porta-advertising-hotel-automobile, I wish I had some 20 inch rims on it though. Then I would be porta-pimpin. This thing is going to do me well, I am off to the north toward Canada but I can’t cross the border due to the fact that I am rolling dirty, but I showered, Get it. So far it’s California, Nevada and Idaho. I am going to sleep at Massacre rocks state park. SPLAT!!!! Bugs all day on my windshield, 3000 miles = 20,000 Bugs guaranteed!
Next Stop Yellowstone National park, Grand Teton national park, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. |
