Per Hampus and Actionhorse Productions - Per Hampus, Hampus Mosesson and Jakob Wilhelmson are the main backbone of Actionhorse Productions. We were with them at the Omatic Snowboards photo shoot last May and we had a blast. They are insane riders but most importantly they love what they do: shred& film. They are not some nobodies trying to cash in on “action sports”. They are the real deal, down with snowboarding for life and we are ready for his movie next Sep. Check his teaser:
Erick Leines and Bjorn Leines created Celtek with the idea of meshing the life we live into the products that we use daily and they succeeded, their products are great! The Leines brothers spent last month in Canada promoting Celtek. While Bjorn was filming Erick was representing Celtek at Easyrider Cup at Jasper Ski Resort. That day was a blast, Tim Nelson, Omatic Snowboards and Celtek riders were there and send us these pics:
SIA 2008 interview with Andrew Marriner, the team manager of Billabong Snow. Andrew manages the travels of riders like Kale Stephens, Scotty Lago, Shayne Pospisil, Kevin Jones, Jaime Anderson, Andrew Crawford and many more. That is a task in itself but Andrew has another position at Billabong. He is also the sales manager and oversees all of the regional Billabong snow reps. He is a busy guy but manages to do all that and stay on top of it. Check out his interview HERE.
SandBox and Mike Fikowski - SandBox and Mike Fikowski Sand Box in The main Video Company in Canada is owned by Kevin Sansalone is based on Whistler. Mike Fikowski is one on the main Filmers by the way he is also a great guy. The Revolution Krew was with him for a day working also in his interview…. We saw some clips of the next movie Look Sick and can’t wait for the release on Sept.
Yeah you know me! Matt and Justin were our homie LP’s from the SIA 07 tradeshow. They were both really cool and were the hit of the show. Forum snowboards had a barber shop in their booth where these guys got their mohawks done. At the end of the show they told us that Snowboard Revolution is down with the LPP “Little People Posse” and we are stoked to be. These guys were both super cool and good workers.
Sean Johnson is one of the main Creator’s of www.stepchildsnowboards.com . Also he is and Incredible rider and can destroy anything. This year he is working on a stepchild/nomis moive “child support” which the teaser is already out for it. The revolution crew stopped at Stepchild headquarters in Vancouver to talk about the new movie and 08 boards.
A Day at The Program
The Program includes the brands Forum Snowboards, Special Blend Outerwear, Foursquare Outerwear and Jeenyus Snowboards. We have always thught that these brands made good gear but our recent trip to The Program last week showed nothing but really good things for The Program brands. The boots are more comfortable than ever, the boards look insane, and the outerwear is dope. The 2008 line from The Program is hotter than ever.
We hooked up with Dan Mcnamara “the sales manager” down there and all the guys were very welcoming. They gave us some inside info like,
wait till you here this. Ryan Sheckler, the Etnies(32 boots) Volcom pro skater was in the Forum showroom getting himself hooked with some Forum boots and Special Blend outerwear to go ride up in Big Bear. Also he had a 120 thousand dollar range rover with six subwoofers. Good shit Ryan.
We also got a chance to speak with Brendan Rynne- The Product manager /Boots for The Program. He gave us some insight about the 2008 boot line and showed us their new design for boot liners. After trying them on all we can say to Brendan is GOOD JOB, and good job to everyone at The Program everything looks sick and for all you rippers out there. Get with The Program, it is all looking good.
About Andreas Wiig and O-Matic Snowboards (by Todd Richards) - Andreas was given a large dollar offer that we couldn’t compete with. We are a small company, concentrating on growth. This means that we are not paying ourselves anything. Andreas is a supper ripper in his prime, his salad years, if you will. We could not in good conscience keep him from such an opportunity. We will miss Andreas, and wish him the best with his next venture. It was a very hard decision for Andreas and we are still on good terms with him, no hard feelings at all.
The ALBIN-SNOWBOARDS AG was founded in 2002 by Michi Albin / Prosnowboarder since 1993, and his uncle Norbert Albin / Investment Consulting. Michi Albin and Alexeja Pozzoni are the creative heads of ALBIN Snowboards. Together they worked on the streetwearline and the new styles for 2004/2005; taking care of designs, marketing and how Albin Snowboards is represented.
Albin Snowboards is making it’s first steps in their plans for world domination and a damn good time for all. Being selected for the New Brand section in this winters ISPO in Munich, Albin Snowboards are ready to rumble!!
Philosophy:
Snowboarding has become a popular and well known sport in the past few years. With every growing sport – commercializing is inevitable, but we shouldn’t forget the lifestyle around it .
Individuality, creativity and of course the fun of it – this is what creates the world around snowboarding. The style we live makes snowboarding what it is! After years of professional riding I wanted to create a brand wich serves this lifestyle and ensures that it doesen’t get forgotten. Albin Ssnowboards stands for what a snowboarder expects: Quality, style and personality.
