These are the guys behind the lens. Photographers are a huge part of snowboarding so we want you to recognize them as if they were pro. Most of them ride like they are pro.

George Crosland Photographer - What to say about George Crosland? Motorhead fan, truly Californian nothing to proof nothing to lose, great skateboarder, very good surfer and an insane snowboarder. George can be Monday with Danny Kass, Tuesday skating with Danny Way, Wednesday shooting pics of a model and Friday with MFM shredding powder. Never ask him what his plans are coz he will never know for sure, his life change more than David Bowie in Hunky Dory. Long life to one of the best quality humans in the snowboard and skateboard industry! Don’t forget to check out George’s BLOG

After a long 9hr drive from Tahoe we got in to SLC around 330am went to bed for a few hours and headed off bright and early up Brighton to ride. If you have never been here you truly are blowing it. After a long weekend in Tahoe, and Big Bear before that. We were all itching to ride some Powder. This for me could be the most fun place I’ve ever been snowboarding. Brighton on a powder day has endless terrain to shred all day and pretty much always find good snow. The park is fun too. Today we just brought out the little digi-cam instead of some people having to lug aound heavy bags so we could ride all day long, and hike all over the place. Our crew was Andrew Miller, Mark Dangler, myself (Joe Carter), and some friends along for the ride. In this one you might not be seeing the most wild snowboarding, but just a bunch of friends cruising an amazing resort and the rest of our first day back in Utah. Enjoy.

Crew Chronicles | 2008 Vans Cup at Tahoe

After a long week of riding everyday hard in Big Bear let’s make an 8-hour trip up to North Lake Tahoe.  For this weekend we will be attending the 2008 Vans Cup held at Northstar. After a quick stop in Mammoth, Andrew Miller and I got there Friday night just in time to see the whole rail jam contest.  Then of course finding where the free beer was and we helped polish off the keg. This was the first night for me meeting Mark Dangler, the snowrev.com filmer and and long time photographer guru George Crossland. Two rad guys that make me pumped that I now get to work with, myself being a new member to the snowrev crew.  Our weekend for the most part started out pretty mellow. We stayed in a sick hotel right on the beach of Lake Tahoe so we could have an early morning for the stacked slopestyle contest. That night we went pretty big. The Snowboarder magazine party held at the Biltmore was like any other after party with plenty of dudes, not very many chicks, and plenty of booze. Trevor Andrew held it down for the music performance at the bar. After a while I ended up losing Andrew and Mark.  Luckily I had some friends that let me crash at their pad, thanks Garrity. So that night was pretty fun, giving me a solid hangover for Sundays halfpipe contest. Then a long drive back to Utah to ride some pow the next day. Check the photos and you’ll see how our little trip went.

I have been looking to put together a mean photo blog for all the snow, skate, surf photographers in the world for a good amount of time.  During my daily thousand website search I found something that will personally help make this dream come true.  Check out this Photoblogs and tutorials.  Let us know what you want to see.

In the mean time.  I am currently planning a trip for Lonnie Kauk to attend the New Zealand Open.  The plan is to have him leave in three days and Air New Zealand wont allow me to make travel arrangements online with such short notice.  How do you guys do it?  It may just be me, but I have found that all the travel arrangements are last second, not minute.  I guess it depends on the variables of weather, but how long can you wait?

On the other hand, I’m in New York, at the lake.  My friends are discussing the purchase of the skate/snowboard shop that fed us the passion when we were growing up.  I think it will be a positive thing if they take it over, you know; for the kids.

Oh and the store is Coming along quite well.  HA!!!!!!  Ill tell you this.  It’s not a nightmare, because I have been sleeping trying to figure it out.  Cheers for Johnny’s 40 hour days.  Love it though.

Enjoy some “inspiration”  This is a crazy photo….

John Centi 32 stair wood handrail down by the lake. Snowboarding in the Great Lakes region is awesome.

Me and the crew got bust yesterday with some pretty dope setups and one hell of a good time. This is how we do it, send your crew to this side of the states and let us guide you around the home town.

Where Brooklyn at, Where Brooklyn at, Where Brooklyn at, I got seven mack elevens, about eight thirty eights, nine nines, ten mack tens and a killer snowboard crew to go with it.

This is Brett Mason “Brooklyn” and oh this kid kills it so look out for him in the future, because you won’t be disappointed.

Bill Cooley was a part of our East Coast Snow storm mission this past weekend. We will bring you all the photos with a little story behind the photo so check back.

About this photo: This is a sick 32 stair handrail in good old western New York, kind of like our rail garden in the back yard, not but twenty yards away is another handrail, but metal. Two of the best, easy to setup rails I have ever hit. Oh yeah, this photo is copyright Steve Olson, so don’t steal it or your busted.
