It was time to get out of San Diego and cruise around on crazy highways to Los Angeles. We made a stop at Val Surf to get some new skate stuff and heard about a ditch close by in Hollywood so we headed up there. Casey Neefus, Dirty Joel, Ben Rice and myself found some wierd looking lizards, and had a good session for a while, right before Rodney Mullen showed up. That could have been some of the best skating the entire trip. We decided to check out what it was like in downtown LA. Instead of going to all the lame hipster bars with dress codes we headed to the dive bars making it a much better time. Making it nice and cheap snatching wounded beers from the wooden indian (you’ll see the picture.) For sleeping arrangements we stayed at the Elias fashion clothing house but instead of staying on a couch we opted to sleep under the stars next to the pool. Except for Sam Driver, he ended up passing out on the float in the pool.

A couple of nights later we headed up to the Hollywood hills to Danny and Dingo’s spot and jumped on the Grenade RV to Santa Monica for another “Boned Age” premier. A few days went and then it as time to head up to Big Bear for Hot Dogs and Handrails. A bunch of people from Utah came out and partied their asses off as everyone always does at the first contest to kick off the new snowboarding season. After a mandatory stop at In n’ Out we skated anywhere we stopped and even tried our luck in at the casino, and lost. So after losing our money we went to Elliot’s house in Encinitas, skated more, partied then went to Carlsbad the next day. My buddy Tyler and I kept cruising around the huge highways skating different parks and stopping on the way to say hello to some of homies along the way.
